I can't believe it, but we have been open for three weeks! We are already seeing repeat customers and enjoy meeting all the new ones.
Work on our mural is still underway. Today Tom began painting the ship captain. It is really fun to see Tom at work! He is an amazing artist! Talk about a nice person! Last week my husband Mark was outside watching Tom paint. A woman pulled up and didn't have a quarter for the parking meter. Tom had a quarter and gave it to her. She said she was going to Love Creamery and asked if Mark and Tom wanted some ice cream. Neither wanted ice cream, but Mark said that I wanted to try some of the new ice cream at Wild State Cider and said he was going to get some for me. I was inside and didn't know anything about the ice cream conversation. I was working on something behind the checkout counter looked up and saw a woman with a big blueberry ice cream cone coming straight toward me. She said, "I want you to have this because your husband and Tom were so nice to me and your husband said you wanted to try it." I was so surprised! What a nice person! She not only bought me an ice cream cone, but she went out of her way to get me one from a different ice cream shop! I really liked the ice cream. It's called Vermont-style soft serve, and it is delicious! Thank you again to the extremely nice woman who bought it for me! Good news. The Duluth Folk School/Dovetail Cafe reopened last week! My weekly blog will now become a monthly blog. I will try to keep on schedule and will post more frequently if needed. Please check out our Facebook page it is really fun! Enjoy the cool weather!
