Happy {early} Thanksgiving! I just love Thanksgiving and this time of year. It's the kick off to getting together with friends and family as well as celebrating all of our blessings. All of the delicious food is also a major plus :)
One thing I rely on during the busyness of the holidays is recipes I can make in a flash. One recipe I have been loving lately is Baked Salmon with Lemon Mustard Dill Sauce from Fannetastic Food's blog. This recipe is fast, easy, delicious, and features some unique flavors to give you a break from all the ham and turkey this season ;) You can find the recipe here. I promise it will not disappoint and will likely become part of your regular rotation of recipes! Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of quality time, thankfulness and yummy food! Cheers to a wonderful Thanksgiving! Beth

Stay Warm and Enjoy Duluth! Beth The Boathouse has showcase rental, consignment and direct purchase programs. If you want to sell one item or many, this may be a great opportunity for you! Stay warm! It is bitter cold in Duluth this week. The ships in the Duluth/Superior Harbor have to break through a thin layer of ice as they move about during these last several weeks of the shipping season. Take care! Beth Greetings!
I attended “The Junk Hunt” vintage market and “The Gales of November” conference this weekend at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC). The Junk Hunt had a fantastic assortment of fun vintage items. If you’ve never been to The Junk Hunt, it’s held annually at the DECC in spring and fall. It is a must for all "junk" lovers! The Gales conference was the best I ever attended! There were so many great presentations it was hard to choose! My favorite sessions covered recently discovered shipwrecks and featured video of the wrecks on the bottom. The session also included 3D data models of the wrecks that were created using a process called “photogrammetry”. As a non-diver I always love seeing this kind of thing, especially when the images are of Lake Superior ship wrecks! Beth |
